Foyles Charing Cross Road is delighted to be the venue for a series of live recordings of the much-loved Backlisted podcast, kicking off this May with a discussion of Ford Madox Ford’s The Good Soldier with guest speaker Alex Michaelides.
Alex Michaelides is the author of The Silent Patient, which was the biggest selling debut in the world in 2019. It spent over a year on the New York Times bestseller list and sold in a record-breaking 50 countries. His latest novel is The Fury, published in February 2024.
The live event will begin at 6.30pm with a bonus episode of Locklisted, hosted by the show’s producer Nicky Birch. Locklisted is the podcast available exclusively to supporters of the show’s Patreon (www.patreon.com/Backlisted) in which Nicky, John and Andy share what they have been reading, watching and listening to lately. Expect some audience participation!
Following a short interval, Andy, John and their guests will start their discussion of Ford’s The Good Soldier. Both of these events will be recorded for future broadcast. Doors will open at 6pm and the recording will begin promptly at 6:30pm.
